  2.             "BLOWN AWAY" DEMO README
  3.  
  4. INTRODUCTION:
  5. -------------
  6. Imagination Pilots, the developer of "Blown Away", is a Chicago-based 
  7. interactive software development company creating CD-ROM multimedia 
  8. titles that specifically capitalize on the enhanced capacity to deliver 
  9. high quality stereo sound, three-dimensional and full-motion video 
  10. images along with real-time interactive responses.  Imagination Pilots 
  11. films its own video footage for use in the creation of its multimedia 
  12. CD-ROM game titles.

  14. The Switch Room game (contained in this demo) is one of the most 
  15. challenging of the 24 puzzles, mazes, games and other challenges 
  16. contained in the complete "Blown Away" game. This demo (for size 
  17. reasons) does not contain any of the full-motion, full-screen video 
  18. which is an unique part of the overall "Blown Away" game experience.

  20. INSTALLATION:

  23. To Install "Blown Away" from DOS (Recommended)
  24. 1.    Copy BADEMO.EXE to the root directory of the drive on which you 
  25.     want to install the demo:
  26.     At the DOS prompt (where you downloaded bademo.exe to) type:
  27.         copy bademo.exe c:\ <enter>
  28. 2.    At the DOS prompt of the root directory (c:\>) type:
  29.         bademo -d <enter>
  30.     This action will create a new directory (BADEMO) and unpack all 
  31.     the files necessary to run the demo into that directory.
  32. 3.    Go into (or return) to Windows.
  33.  
  34. To install "Blown Away" from Windows:
  35. 1.    From File Manager, create a new directory called BADEMO.
  36. 2.    Copy bademo.exe into the BADEMO directory.
  37. 3.    From File Manager, double-click on bademo.exe.
  38.     This action will unpack all files necessary to run 
  39.     the demo.

  41. FOR USERS WITH AN ATI VIDEO CARD
  42. ---------------------------------
  43. For Mach 32 cards.
  44. You need to be sure that the "DeviceBitmap=on" line in your WIN.INI 
  45. file under the [MACH] section is changed to off (e.g. DeviceBitmap=off).
  46. If you have any questions about how to do this, please call IVI 
  47. Publishing at (800) 754-1725 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  51. You need to make the same change as Mach 32 user(above) except you will
  52. find the DeviceBitmap Flag in your SYSTEM.INI file under the [MACHX] 
  53. section.

  59. 2.    From File Manager, double-click on DEMO.EXE.

  76. UNINSTALL:
  77. ----------
  78. If you inadvertently unpacked "Blown Away" into an existing directory 
  79. you can run BA_REMOVE.BAT.  In DOS go to the directory you want to 
  80. remove the demo from and type:
  81.     ba_remove <enter>
  82. This will remove all the files that were unpacked from BADEMO.EXE 
  83. (except ba_remov.bat).
