- "BLOWN AWAY" DEMO README

- INTRODUCTION:
- -------------
- Imagination Pilots, the developer of "Blown Away", is a Chicago-based
- interactive software development company creating CD-ROM multimedia
- titles that specifically capitalize on the enhanced capacity to deliver
- high quality stereo sound, three-dimensional and full-motion video
- images along with real-time interactive responses. Imagination Pilots
- films its own video footage for use in the creation of its multimedia
- CD-ROM game titles.

- The Switch Room game (contained in this demo) is one of the most
- challenging of the 24 puzzles, mazes, games and other challenges
- contained in the complete "Blown Away" game. This demo (for size
- reasons) does not contain any of the full-motion, full-screen video
- which is an unique part of the overall "Blown Away" game experience.

- INSTALLATION:
- -------------

- To Install "Blown Away" from DOS (Recommended)
- 1. Copy BADEMO.EXE to the root directory of the drive on which you
- want to install the demo:
- At the DOS prompt (where you downloaded bademo.exe to) type:
- copy bademo.exe c:\ <enter>
- 2. At the DOS prompt of the root directory (c:\>) type:
- bademo -d <enter>
- This action will create a new directory (BADEMO) and unpack all
- the files necessary to run the demo into that directory.
- 3. Go into (or return) to Windows.

- To install "Blown Away" from Windows:
- 1. From File Manager, create a new directory called BADEMO.
- 2. Copy bademo.exe into the BADEMO directory.
- 3. From File Manager, double-click on bademo.exe.
- This action will unpack all files necessary to run
- the demo.

- FOR USERS WITH AN ATI VIDEO CARD
- ---------------------------------
- For Mach 32 cards.
- You need to be sure that the "DeviceBitmap=on" line in your WIN.INI
- file under the [MACH] section is changed to off (e.g. DeviceBitmap=off).
- If you have any questions about how to do this, please call IVI
- Publishing at (800) 754-1725 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Central Standard Time.

- For Mach 64 cards.
- You need to make the same change as Mach 32 user(above) except you will
- find the DeviceBitmap Flag in your SYSTEM.INI file under the [MACHX]
- section.

- 1. Go into Windows.
- 2. From File Manager, double-click on DEMO.EXE.

- UNINSTALL:
- ----------
- If you inadvertently unpacked "Blown Away" into an existing directory
- you can run BA_REMOVE.BAT. In DOS go to the directory you want to
- remove the demo from and type:
- ba_remove <enter>
- This will remove all the files that were unpacked from BADEMO.EXE
- (except ba_remov.bat).
